4 days of shots down and u/s and b/w tomorrow

So I have officially had 4 days of shots a couple hurt worse than the others but still nothing terrible.I also have a couple very small welts and nice pretty purple bruise on my tummy. My u/s and b/w are tomorrow morning so I will know more then.I have a question for all of you that have used follistim, did you experience extra tiredness and mood swings on it.Because I have been more tired than normal and feeling more on edge and stressed out.Just was hoping for some insight from others that have been there.

Our situation is a tad different, since we were just maturing follicles and inducing ovulation for IUI. With our twins, I used Gonal-F and Ganirelex (sp?). When subsequent attempts and our son, we used Gonal-F alone. We used hCG to trigger our twins, and then Ovidrel for subsequents. My stomach is always terribly bruised after the injections, although I think our twins were probably the most pain because I injected so frequently and had the different drugs.

I also took P17 shots with our son, Alexander. Those are done in the bum. They burned and afterwards it felt like a charlie horse in my backside. I used a hot shower to help relax the pain away.

We go in for our hCG test on Wednesday. Wish us luck!

No experience with follistim, but good to hear that things are progressing. Will be waiting to hear more about your bw/us tomorrow. Thinking good thoughts!

Glad to hear that things are moving along for you. I know you are so excited. The stomach shots never hurt me other then burning and bruising, but nothing too terribly bad. The progesterone shots are the shots that were definitely uncomfortable and if you want helpful hints on how to make those feel a bit better on your tush then let me know. I would experience hot flashes here and there and a few mood swings, but nothing I couldn't handle. I just knew it would all be worth it in the long run and indeed it did.

Thinking about you and wishing you well.

Hugs,
Lisa

Good luck tomorrow honey.

You are going to feel all sorts of things. Happy, sad, mad... crazy! It will be over soon and you will have the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Hugs,
Kami

Can't wait to hear how your appt. went. When I was getting shots for our IUI cycle, I found that rubbing lightly around the injection site for a minute or two afterwards really helped with pain management...
