more good news!! part 2

We received a call yesterday afternoon from our donor nurse (whom I love and think is a wonderful person) she has really tried to help us through all of this.I initially missed this call so I did not blog about it with the other news on the previous post. But when I did finally touch base with her she had more good news for us.She started the conversation by saying that she had been concerned for us that we accepted such a small amount of embryos and that she was worried that if something happened the day of the transfer and our 3 did not make the thaw or didn't look good anymore that we would have nothing to transfer.Or if it didn't work we would have to wait on the now very long list for another set.So since we had made it to the top of the waiting list now she wanted to offer a set that she just received that very same day. This was in addition to the set we had so that we would have a back up set the day of transfer. This new set has 3 embryos too one of which is excellent and the others are good. She also said that she is praying that it works but if it doesn't that we could use them next try. I at first thought that was the only conditions of receiving these embies, something had to go wrong. But when I talked to her today she clarified that they would be ours to keep even if we get pregnant this time and we could use them for our next child.I was in shock and so excited. The other good news on the new embies is the FDA testing has already been paid again and that costs $900 so we do not have to pay it. Also she said they are waving the $800 per match fee.(each time you are matched with embies you have to pay the fee)They are basically including this in our original fee. All we will have to do is pay for storage which breaks down to about $30 a month until we use them.Wow we are feeling so blessed to now know that is not our one and only shot at this. That we do have a back up plan and that we can try again if something god forbid goes wrong. But we just know that we are going to get pregnant this time and that we will get to use that set for our second child together. We have been in shock at all of our blessings.Just before we went to sleep last night DH was holding me and said "Today was a very good day" and I replied "Yes it was". I will be getting my trigger shot in about an hour, and then I get tomorrow off of meds. I start all the pills on Thursday I will also get my transfer time then.I already know it will be Saturday but they will schedule me that day.

What a blessing! This is such wonderful news. I am amazed at the angels God puts in our paths through this journey (in your case, this nurse), and I'm convinced He places them there to get us through.

I am praying for success with both sets of embies and hoping that things go very, very well for you all. I'll be following along very closely, praying all the way through!
